Coach Scheible will be entering his 23rd year this fall as head coach of the University of Rochester Women's Basketball Program and his 31st overall as a coach at the collegiate level. Coach Scheible has led the Yellowjackets to national distinction. His 2003, 2004, and 2010 squads all made it to the NCAA Final Four and his 2016 and 2018 teams reached the NCAA Elite Eight. In addition, the 2004 team and 2009 teams owned the #1 ranking in the country for a total of nine weeks. For four straight seasons (2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009) the Yellowjackets made the NCAA “Sweet Sixteen” and the NCAA Second Round in 2011 and 2013. Prior to coming to Rochester, Coach Scheible led Elmira College to their first-ever appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including a trip to the “Sweet Sixteen” in 1998. He also directed Clarkson University to a 22-4 record as an interim head coach in 1989-90 and served one year as an assistant coach at UC San Diego from 1991-92.
